LUXBOX AWARDED FIRST BSI KITEMARK

Luxbox Lighting Technology Ltd is celebrating after being awarded their first BSI Kitemark.

The Kitemark for Emergency Luminaires has been issued for one of the company’s landmark products – the LXD emergency downlight. This self-contained recessed luminaire has been taking the market by storm, offering an unobtrusive but highly effective lighting solution for escape routes and open areas in commercial and public spaces. It’s a flexible product which offers options for maintained or non-maintained modes, and integrated self-test or DALI options, all of which have undergone rigorous testing by the independent BSI team as part of the certification process.

Heidi de Lucchi, business and operations manager at Luxbox, explains why this is such a significant step forward for the business: “We’ve always been absolutely confident in the exceptional quality of our products, but it’s fantastic to have this backed up and verified by such a respected third party. The Kitemark is synonymous with quality and we believe this achievement will help customers share our confidence that they’re opting for the best.”

Luxbox, part of the Polynom group, which also boasts industry stalwarts P4 Limited, Sander Elektronik AG and Lampec AG, services the UK’s OEM and lighting specialists with emergency lighting components. As part of the kitemarking process, the LXD range, as well as the manufacturing sites and quality plans, have all undergone thorough assessment. It’s an ongoing process that ensures continued excellence. Heidi continues: “The LXD is one of our key components, but we consider this the first step for us and will be working towards securing the same accolade for other products in our suite. This is a major deal for us, and we’re absolutely committed to continuing the journey.”
