Last week our CNC machinist and programmer operative Paul, attended a two-day course at XYZ, Lynch Motor Company’s supplier of CNC machines.
The training provided Paul with the opportunity to increase his knowledge and skills of using the XYZ mill to create contours in metal. Improving his accuracy when making components using the mill and enabling Lynch Motor Company to make more components in house.
Paul had a tour of the factory from a member of the technical team. This gave him the chance to see the latest technology produced at XYZ and the new CNC programmes available. During the training, Paul had the chance to create a new programme on a CNC machine from scratch, which he thoroughly enjoyed. This gave him the opportunity to utilise his problem-solving skills, deciding which tools and speeds would be best, to make a new component under a new programme.
Pauls top tip for anyone training in CNC work, would be to never give up and a can-do attitude will help you succeed!
At Lynch Motor Company we believe in investing in our staff, recognising their skills, interests and developing these through courses and internal training. Fostering productive and happy employees.
