Made in Britain Trademark in driving seat for new Vauxhall EV campaign

“In pride of place on their van” – Vauxhall’s new EV campaign puts Made in Britain Trademark front and centre

The Made in Britain Trademark is a key component of Vauxhall’s “‘Energising a Better Britain” campaign, launched this Summer to demonstrate the carmaker’s wide offering of electric light commercial vehicles (e-LCVs).

Vauxhall, the UK’s best-selling e-LCV manufacturer, has been a member of Made in Britain since 2015 and describes the Trademark as “instantly recognisable” and a way to “celebrate its commitment to Britain succinctly and clearly.”

The “‘Energising a Better Britain” campaign, launched in June, demonstrates Vauxhall’s latest electric van range on TV, radio and on roads across the UK. It showcases the design, updated tech and practicality of the brand’s e-LCV range.

Vauxhall is one of few mainstream automotive brands to produce vans in Britain – at its facilities in Luton, home of the Vivaro, and Ellesmere Port, the UK’s first EV-only manufacturing plant.

Vauxhall Marketing Director, Philip Douglass, said:

“At Vauxhall, we are extremely proud of our status as the only automotive Brand to build new vans here in Britain. By committing to building electric commercial vehicles here in Britain we are not only supporting the British workforce, but we are also making electric mobility more affordable for all. We know these things matter to our customers but finding a way to communicate these commitments in our fast-paced world is a real challenge. The Made in Britain Trademark is instantly recognisable and allows us to celebrate our commitment to Britain succinctly and clearly. We also feel immense pride to be able to install the logo on all our British-built vans and our customers tell us regularly how much they love being out on the road with the Made in Britain Trademark pride of place on their van!”

Made in Britain is an independent UK trade association bringing together British manufacturers by their licensed use of the official Made in Britain Trademark, which is recognised by 80 per cent of British businesses and close to 60 per cent of consumers nationwide. Additionally, Made in Britain provides support for its community of manufacturers across marketing, exports and procurement, focused on Environmental and Social Value (ESV) and a more holistic approach to expressing the metrics that define a successful, responsible and profitable business. The association sits on the All-Party Parliamentary Manufacturing Group to ensure that the voices of UK manufacturers are heard in Whitehall, and is a member of the UN Global Compact (UNGC) .
