We are delighted to inform our membership community that Simon Boyd has joined the Made in Britain team as Director of Membership and Programmes.
Simon brings a wealth of experience in leadership roles at not-for-profit and membership organisations, having previously worked for IAM RoadSmart (formerly the Institute of Advanced Motorists), British Marine, the Institute of Engineering and Technology, the British Dental Association and the Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment.
His most recent role, at IAM, was focused on enhancing the member experience alongside engaging members with the charity's ambitions around improving the UK’s record on road safety – while taking the lead in the commercial and operational transformation organisation.
Prior to that, Simon worked at British Marine, where he grew and connected its membership network, improved the member experience and led on committees and governance. In this role Simon worked with many manufacturers in the leisure and commercial marine sector helping them to grow through the work of British Marine.
Simon says: “I’m excited to be joining the team at Made in Britain – which brings together manufacturers by their licensed use of the Trademark – the official symbol of British-manufactured products. I’m looking forward to meeting members of Made in Britain’s vibrant and growing network of manufacturers across the UK and working with the team to unite, support and galvanise our business community.”
