Manufacturing needs innovation for growth and vitality

By Jon Moss, Judge for the Impact Awards 2023.

As a representative of Fortnum & Mason, an iconic British institution renowned for its commitment to quality, tradition and innovation, I am delighted to lend my support to the Made in Britain Impact Awards.

Fortnum & Mason has a rich heritage dating back to 1707, standing as a testament to the exceptional craftsmanship that Britain is renowned for. It’s longstanding commitment to sourcing and promoting British-made products aligns perfectly with the spirit of the Made in Britain awards. Fortnum’s understands the importance of preserving and promoting local manufacturing traditions while adapting to the demands of the modern market and it is innovation that is at the heart of their success story.

I believe that innovation is essential to the growth and vitality of the manufacturing industry, as it drives economic progress and promotes competitiveness. I think The Made in Britain Awards not only provides a brilliant platform to celebrate success but is also helping to drive positive change and promote sustainable practices.

I am looking forward to recognising the remarkable achievements of all the entrants.

The Awards will open for entry on the 10th July and the ceremony will be held on 2nd November.
