We are seeing increasingly a demand for the medically inert properties of speciality foam for our Healthcare Sector clients (not only due to current situation, the demand has been ongoing) and have been delighted to grow our business alongside some significant innovators in this space.
PLASTAZOTE is used for many medical and healthcare applications, and has become the most popular thermoplastic medical foam material in medical industry.
Applications involving direct skin contact are frequent. The special properties of these pharma foams are ideal for maximum comfort, hygiene and safety.
PLASTAZOTE and EVAZOTE are hypoallergenic, latex-free and non-toxic, reducing the onset of skin irritation. They are also X-Ray, CT and MRI-lucent - therefore perfect for use in the manufacture of splints, other supports and MRI vests. EVAZOTE is preferred where resilience and a softer feel is required. Like in Prosthetics, Podiatrics or Orthoses.
Other applications aincludes hydrotherapy and physiotherapy equipment, for protection helmets, exercise mats, implement handles, wheelchair ramps and comfort lining, just to name a few examples.
Recently we also produced product protection and vital components in PPE like face masks and shields, gaskets and seals for ventilators and other crucial equipment.
