New Naval Training Boats Fitted With Scot Seat KPM Marine Products

The Royal Navy has begun operational sailings of its newest fleet of eight officer training boats (OTB) at the Britannia Royal Naval College (BRNC) in Dartmouth.

The craft were built by Atlas Elektronik UK (AEUK), a German defence firm Atlas Elektronik subsidiary, to replace the BRNC's eight picket boats that had been in service since the 1960s.

The OTBs are fitted with Scot Seat KPM Marine's DNV approved lightweight suspension seats. These fully crash tested seats offer significant weight savings over traditional steel suspension seats and are designed to minimise shock and reduce operator fatigue.

Scot Seat KPM Marine also supplied lightweight modular interior furniture, emergency pumps and air systems for each boat.
