Our most recent project was in Rake Lane, Newcastle. We worked alongside the Integrated Health Project on their refurbishment of the hospital. This project included a variety of new furniture for the washrooms, including Helmsman lockers, cubicles, bench seating, integrated plumbing systems (IPS) and vanity units.
The client selected Laminate Lockers, and Welled Laminate Lockers are manufactured with a durable mild steel carcass paired with solid grade laminate doors. In addition, we supplied mesh lockers constructed entirely from mild steel, including both the body and doors. The specification of the lockers was 1775mm high, with 175mm added at the rear due to the sloping top, 300mm wide and 450mm deep.
The Welled lockers are ideal for high-traffic environments, offering full-height storage along with integrated bench seating at the front. This design allows employees to conveniently store their belongings and sit while changing or preparing for their shift. For this project, clients requested lockers in 2 colours, laminate doors in Citron Green, and Grey Cloud for the end panels to match the powder-coated metal body in Ice.
The lockers were manufactured with a laminate sloping top, which is perfect for preventing the build-up of dust and clutter collection, as well as making it easier to clean, especially in hygiene-sensitive areas where regular deep cleaning is required. Lockers were completed with circle numbering above the locks, along with cam locks.
The washroom design featured 6 Front Line Cubicles for restrooms, along with 6 Full Height (Ceiling-to-Floor) Cubicles and 10 changing rooms with Ceiling-to-Floor Cubicles and bench seating, all in American Oak from our standard colour chart. Also included in the project were sets of IPS (Integrated Plumbing System) Panels and a Solid Grade Laminate and Corian Vanity units. The combination of Citron Green and Mountain Oak creates a fresh, contemporary atmosphere with a warm, natural touch.
