Northern Lights' rechargeable lighting shortlisted The Brit List Awards

Portable illumination

The Helios range of portable, rechargeable table lamps within Northern Lights’ Signature Collection has been shortlisted for The Brit List Awards: Best in British Product Design category.

This year has seen the biggest shortlisted finalists in the awards’ history – 140 in total – with a record number of initial applicants.

The collection challenges conventional ways in which spaces are typically illuminated, offering a unique solution that meets the growing demands in hospitality for flexible and adaptable guest experiences.

Breaking constraints through versatile lighting solutions

The portable collection moves beyond the traditional constraints of socket and electrical point locations, giving ultimate freedom in positioning of the lighting for maximum impact.  It allows interior designers to light unconventional and even awkward spaces with ease, to build interchangeable ambience with no limits.

Sleek, cordless design

The sleek, wire-free cordless design results in an uncompromised aesthetic, and lighting can be adjusted via remote control operation, with two brightness modes plus flicker mode for interchangeable ambience.

The range combines rechargeable LED technology with luxury materials and British artisan craftsmanship.  There are six designs in the collection that feature either a metal brass base, finished in a variety of bespoke brass patinas, or luxurious ivory alabaster.  There is also a choice of shades, from solid old English brass domes and veined natural alabaster materials, to linen and pleated cotton drums to complement any interior.
