Northern Polytunnels has officially launched a powerful new online configurator for its EasyBuild polytunnels, giving growers unprecedented control over designing their own growing space.
The new tool, which went live earlier this year, allows users to fully customise their tunnel from the ground up — including width, length, ventilation, cover type, foundation options, irrigation, and even ground cover. Users can also choose to include extra support bars, different door styles (with no timber), and construction services, all within one streamlined interface.
Unlike other configurators on the market, the EasyBuild tool doesn’t fragment the experience by tunnel size. Everything is handled within a single, full-screen immersive environment, with live pricing, an updating technical drawing, and downloadable specs. Once configured, users can save their design or proceed directly to checkout.
“This is about putting more power in the hands of growers,” said a spokesperson for Northern Polytunnels. “We’ve built a tool that reflects the flexibility and strength of the EasyBuild range itself — giving people complete control without the overwhelm. It’s quick, accurate, and surprisingly fun to use.”
While the configurator is aimed at domestic gardeners, Northern Polytunnels has confirmed that plans are already in motion to roll out similar functionality to its commercial single span range — a move that promises to bring the same simplicity and configurability to larger-scale growing operations.
