PETRA Palumbo is a sustainable homeware company that designs long-lasting, high quality products with an environmental conscience from its base in the Scottish Highlands. Petra Palumbo has now been granted membership to the Made in Britain organisation.
Petra Palumbo told Made in Britain that within a culture of rapidly changing tastes and trends, it sees its products as the investment purchase with its timeless homeware designed for longevity and created to be handed down through generations - all with the smallest possible impact on the earth.
With products ranging from hand painted glass carafe and tumbler sets to ceramics and hand painted delft tiles, Petra Palumbo weaves into its designs influences from its Lebanese ancestry and the Scottish heritage of textiles and craft that it is surrounded by. Petra Palumbo also fuses colours, patterns and prints to curate and design visually stimulating artistic settings and her work has been displayed at the Floribund Pop Up at Liberty London and Christie’s London.
Petra Palumbo owner and founder of Petra Palumbo told Made in Britain, “I believe it’s my responsibility as a 21st century designer to think of the impact my company has on the planet. That’s why I’m so glad this Made in Britain accreditation exists, to acknowledge the work we have already done and continue to hold us accountable in the future.”
Petra Palumbo will be using the official Made in Britain mark on its website on its social media. Find out more about the company at its members’ profile page here and its website here.
