Pland's Stainless Steel Sinks for London College of Fashion

London College of Fashion, which is part of the University of the Arts London, is a world leader in fashion design, media, and business education. The college provides undergraduate and postgraduate study and has nurtured creative talent for over a century, with notable alumni like Jimmy Choo to its credit.

Historically based at Lime Grove Campus in West London, the institution has recently established a new campus at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, known as the East Bank. The relocation was completed last year.

As part of this new development, the university approached Pland Stainless to manufacture 30 custom stainless steel sinks for their new facility. The sinks were delivered in two phases to the Carpenter Road, London E20 2AR campus and installed across various areas of learning. These sinks, designed and sized to meet specific requirements, played a crucial role in helping students complete their courses, from working with textiles to plaster for modelling and sculpting. Pland worked closely with the university to ensure that the sinks were tailored to their needs.

Richard Mann, Senior Project Manager at University Arts London, was Pland’s main contact for the project who they worked with to finalise product designs and arrange timely deliveries.

"We collaborated closely with the design team at Pland Stainless to ensure that the customised sinks were perfectly suited for their specific purposes in the practical studios at the college. The team at Pland was very helpful, and the resulting product is of great quality and has been working well for the students. I would definitely use their services and specify Pland Stainless products again.”
