TextureJet, a leading innovator in surface processing technology, is proud to announce that it has been shortlisted for not one, but two major categories at the 2025 Innovation Awards: Engineering Innovator of the Year and Manufacturing Innovator of the Year.
The Innovation Awards, now in their fifth year, celebrate the achievements of forward-thinking businesses, organisations, and individuals across the UK who are pushing the boundaries of innovation. With hundreds of nominations received annually, being shortlisted is a testament to TextureJet’s industry-leading advancements and commitment to revolutionising surface finishing technology.
Backed by renowned organisations including Make UK, NatWest, Innovate UK, West Midlands Combined Authority, Connected Places Catapult, Warwick Manufacturing Group, and Birmingham City University, the Innovation Awards highlight those making a true impact in engineering and manufacturing.
“To be shortlisted in two categories is an honour,” said Jonathon Mitchell-Smith, CEO of TextureJet. “It’s a fantastic recognition of the hard work and dedication of our team, and a clear signal that our approach to more sustainable, precise, and controlled surface processing is gaining traction across the industry.”
Each year, the Innovation Awards receive nominations from across the country — many submitted by peers, academic institutions, or professional partners. After rigorous judging, only a handful of entries in each category make it through to the shortlist. Public voting is open until 25th July and will determine the five finalists in each category. The winners will be announced at an awards ceremony later this year.
