Recognition at the Made in Britain Impact Awards 2025

Apex Pumps are proud to have been recognised at the Made in Britain Impact Awards 2025, receiving two prestigious commendations:

⭐ Highly Commended: Marketing Campaign of the Year
⭐ Runner Up: Sustainability Initiative of the Year

These awards celebrate outstanding achievement across the British manufacturing sector, recognising innovation, responsibility, and excellence from companies like ours who proudly make their products here in Britain.

For Apex Pumps, this recognition represents the culmination of months of hard work, investment, and a shared commitment to doing things the right way, for our customers, our team, and the environment.

Highly Commended Marketing Campaign of The Year

At the end of 2024, we partnered with a marketing consultancy to redefine our vision and develop a focused strategy for growth. Our objectives were clear:

– Elevate our brand awareness
– Expand our capacity and team
– Increase turnover

Within nine months, we achieved all three!

From a complete rebrand, including a new logo, website, team photography, signage, and even rebranded cranes, to a stronger online presence and targeted advertising, we’ve modernised Apex Pumps inside and out. Our marketing transformation has led to:

– A 295% increase in LinkedIn impressions
– A 238% increase in Facebook reach
– An 87.5% increase in Instagram reach
– Over 600 new followers across our channels
– A successful Google Ads campaign generating over 22,000 impressions and 105 website visits in a single month

Beyond the numbers, our campaign has given Apex a fresh identity that our team is proud to stand behind. It’s helped us re-engage customers, attract new business, and showcase the best of British engineering to the world.

Runner Up Sustainability Initiative of the Year

Sustainability sits at the heart of OUR long-term vision. Over the past year, we have taken major steps towards our goal of achieving Net Zero across the organisation.

In 2024, we invested 50% of our record annual profits into sustainable infrastructure, including the installation of a 360-panel, 150kW solar array at our Bristol factory. In its first year, this system has produced 175 MWh of 100% green energy, resulting in:

– A 40% reduction in CO₂e emissions compared to our 2023 baseline
– A 37.8% reduction in grid electricity use
– A 13% reduction in gas usage

We’ve also brought more production in-house with new Mazak machining, reducing lead times and the environmental impact of shipping components. As a result, our operations are now powered entirely by renewable energy, generated on-site or supplied via a certified green provider.

Our sustainability journey doesn’t end there. From planting wildflower meadows around our site to encouraging cycling and public transport (with over 50% of our team now commuting sustainably), we’re committed to making a measurable difference.

Our efforts have already been recognised with a Gold Award from Notch Carbon Accounting for our achievements in carbon reduction, an achievement we’re incredibly proud of in our first year of formal reporting.

Proudly Made In Britain

These recognitions are more than awards. They’re a reflection of the hard work, innovation, and dedication of the entire Apex Pumps team.

As proud members of Made in Britain, we’re committed to championing British manufacturing, investing in our people, and building a more sustainable future for our industry.

We’d like to thank Made in Britain for celebrating UK manufacturing excellence, and extend our congratulations to all the other companies recognised this year.

Looking Ahead

As we continue to grow, innovate, and invest in sustainable British engineering, we look forward to building on this success and further celebrating recognition of our hard work throughout 2025 and beyond.
