Dating back over 100 years and manufacturing a full range of woodturning chisels and wood dust extractors in Sheffield, England: Record Power joins Made in Britain.

Record Power has a long and impressive history, established in Sheffield, the heart of the UK’s steel industry, and stretching back over 100 years. Acquisition of a number of well-known brands over the years, including Coronet of Derby, Burgess and CamVac, has added to the wealth of knowledge and expertise of the company, with many staff being with the company for over 20 years and some up to 40 years. In addition to the important UK market, Record Power have a strategy of creating and developing export markets. They now export to over 30 countries across the globe, with export sales accounting for the majority of turnover. Record Power are particularly well represented across Europe and are currently developing new markets in the US, Canada, Australia and New Zealand plus many more.

Andrew Greensted, Managing Director, said “Joining the Made in Britain organisation is an important step in rebuilding our UK manufacturing base. We are lucky enough to be experiencing significant growth in demand and volumes for our UK-made products and all of our current product development projects are intended for UK manufacture. Making our own products in the UK gives us full design ownership and far better control of the quality and cost of our products. We have proven that it is viable to produce products in the UK for our market and joining the Made in Britain organisation is another tangible commitment to our UK-made strategy.”

Record Power will use the Made in Britain mark on their websites, social media and catalogues as well as using it on the British made products themselves. Find out more about the company at its members’ directory profile here and its website here.
