We are delighted to announce that Rob Atkin, Group Finance Director at PFF has been shortlisted for two Northern Finance Director Awards 2021, in the categories of Best Northern Finance Director of a Limited Company of £25 million – £100 million and Northern Finance Director of the Year 2021 – Innovation.
The awards give recognition to and celebrate the talent, skills, and excellence of finance directors and their teams across the North of England. This year, the judges have included in the shortlisting process, consideration of how nominees have responded over the last unprecedented 12-months.
Rob’s role at PFF is to facilitate the delivery of the firm’s growth plans and to source materials for both our packaging and health divisions. When he joined the business in 2019, profit stood at £600,000. Under Rob’s financial management, we reported a profit of £1.3 million in 2020.
Last year, Rob was instrumental in the decision-making around PFF’s diversification into healthcare products, researching and conducting due diligence to give the board confidence that the move was sustainable for the longer term.
Rob is renowned at PFF not only for his skills in finance but also as a creative thinker, strategist, and leader.
Rob said: “The NFD awards are an important celebration of the role of FDs in innovative and successful companies in the North. I found the nomination process to be valuable and thought-provoking, enabling me to showcase my skills as FD for a leading, independent UK manufacturer.”
