Romold is proud to support Alzheimer's Awareness Month this September and is committed to donating 10% of all sales of its specially manufactured purple BP4L - Low Profile Drum Spill Pallet to Alzheimer's Society.
Alzheimer's disease is the most common cause of dementia, more than 520,000 people in the UK have dementia caused by Alzheimer's disease, and this figure is set to rise. Alzheimer's is a progressive disease, this means that gradually more parts of the brain are damaged. As this happens, more symptoms develop, and they also get worse over a period of time.
The Alzheimer's Society is a charity close to the hearts of Romold, especially for one Romold employee, UK and Ireland sales manager Sandra Geddes whose mother was diagnosed with Alzheimer's over five years ago and now lives in sheltered housing with on-site support and assistance. Sandra, her sister Gail and her mum Nan, supported Alzheimer's Society in 2018 with a Zip Slide over the River Clyde in Glasgow. "Alzheimer’s Society is an incredible charity, I know personally how much the charity supports those affected, the whole team are amazing and I'm delighted we're able to support them in this way." said, Sandra.
