Romold Proudly Supports World Alzheimer's Month

Romold are proud to support World Alzheimer's month this September. We are committed to donating £10 to Alzheimer's Society for every purple BP2 - Drum Spill Pallet sold. This will help provide vital advice and support to families and carers affected by the disease.

Alzheimer's disease is the most common cause of dementia, more than 850,000 people in the UK have dementia caused by Alzheimer's disease, and this figure is set to rise.

Alzheimer's is a progressive disease, this means that gradually more parts of the brain are damaged. As this happens, more symptoms develop, and they also get worse over a period of time.

The Alzheimer's Society is a charity close to our hearts, especially for one Romold employee. Our UK and Ireland sales manager Sandra Geddes's mother, whose birthday would have been on the 20th of September suffered from Alzheimer's for over 6 years and lived in sheltered housing with on-site support and assistance.

"Alzheimer’s  Society is an incredible charity, I know personally how much the charity supports those affected, the whole team are amazing and I'm delighted we're able to support them in this way." said, Sandra.
