Specialist designer, manufacturer and installer of quality fire-rated doorsets Shellen has added Bluesky’s fire door scheme to its scope of certification.
Bluesky’s fire door certification is designed to provide building managers with confidence that products, like Shellen’s, are manufactured to the specification that they were initially tested, and the product will perform as expected in the case of a fire.
Shellen conducts a lot of product testing to give its customers complete peace of mind and the company has been working over the last year to find new ways to make its high-performance doorsets stand out.
Alfie Pitt, Director at Shellen, said: “The fire-resistant properties of a doorset are rarely called upon, but when they are required, it is critical that it performs as expected.
“Bluesky places a strong focus on how the products are manufactured and installed, rather than just the paperwork that is filled out during the process.
“This thorough approach is exactly what our colleagues and customers value highly, so we’re delighted to now be able to offer this additional certification alongside our products.”
Bluesky certification is an independent, third-party and UKAS accredited certification.
The process for gaining accreditation is divided into three parts; an initial assessment which includes a review of the relevant test evidence, followed by periodic audit inspections and audit tests to demonstrate that the performance of a product is maintain within ongoing production.
