What a great week it was exhibiting for the second time at the Southern Manufacturing & Electronics Show at the Farnborough International Exhibition Centre. After the past two years it felt amazing to be stood in an exhibition hall again and be able to showcase our brand, products and manufacturing services.
We were able to welcome existing customers, customers we had met at previous shows and new customers onto our stand and update them all on the latest product developments and launches we have available from Olson. This show gave us the opportunity to get our brand new 1U power distribution units in the hands of potential customers as we continue to launch this exciting, British made and independently tested and certified product range. The new 1U PDU range is designed to fit in 19” racks and the slim profile ensures minimum space is occupied, leaving room for additional equipment.
The hot topic of many conversations on our stand focused on our UK manufacturing facility and the services we can offer. Our production team are a highly skilled and experienced unit that can provide all types of services including powder coating, sub-contract manufacturing and a range of sheet metal fabrication solutions. We also offer cable assemblies, including custom power cables, which are all fully inspected and tested prior to despatch. To hear that so much British manufacturing is still taking place under the Olson roof was a refreshing reminder for our customers to hear.
Visitors to the stand had the chance to see the new 1U 19” rack mount PDUs as mentioned above. In addition to this they were able to discuss the latest product developments from Olson, including the very first prototype of our lighting distribution units. This steel construction offers mechanical strength and durability for the safe distribution of lighting circuits. The units are powder coated white and available in 4 – 12 outgoing ways. The range has been designed to reduce time on site by incorporating a plug and play connection concept, making the units quick and easy to install. To provide installation flexibility our LDUs can be mounted flat, vertically, or horizontally depending on your installation circumstances. Being British designed and manufactured at our head quarters in Stanmore, London this range can be customised to customers specification. Whether you need more outlets, non-standard metal work or a different colour, just provide our experienced technical team all your desired outcomes at the point of ordering.
