UK test facility performs factory acceptance test for research and development project
Our new Darwen-based facility has produced equipment for a Factory Acceptance Test, with a range of Cablevey and Spiroflow equipment. The tested media will be used in a research and development project within the environmental sector requiring precise conveyance and material unloading solutions from the AHS-AMP group.
Engineered solutions ensure quality, capacity and compliance
During the test, our team of engineers used three Spiroflow type 6 bulk bag dischargers and a Cablevey tubular drag conveyor. All the AHS equipment demonstrated both the quality and capacity to meet bespoke requirements. All AHS equipment design ensures comprehensive compliance to Workplace Exposure Limits (WELs) and thoroughly limits contamination from external sources.
Custom-Designed Bulk Bag Dischargers Ensure Safety, Hygiene, and Easy Integration
The bulk bag dischargers were custom designed to integrate seamlessly into existing customer production areas while ensuring full containment. They were equipped with an integral “I” beam hoist for easy loading of bulk bags directly into the discharger, which is connected to the conveyor. The integrated sealed glove boxes allow the client to manipulate the product without exposing workers to the developed compound.
All equipment was fabricated from crevice-free stainless steel, with smooth, ridge-free internal surfaces to promote hygienic conditions and aid material flow from the FIBC bulk bags. The complete system featured several transparent connection points, enhancing access for observation and adjustments during the FAT.
