Anyone keeping up with Pentagon’s news feeds will know that this year we have invested in three new CNC Machines for the Tooling Division.
This high-level investment delivers advanced efficiencies within the mould tool manufacturing process and supports ongoing production optimisation. The first two machines, the Mikron VCE 600 and the FORM E 600 arrived at the plant in March and April of this year and are already providing machining enhancements to the division.
The third machine due to arrive in May was the FORM E 350, however a decision was made to upgrade the final machine to a second FORM E 600 to provide greater flexibility! Arriving on site today at Pentagon this completes the business’s extensive investment program with long term supplier GF Machining Solutions Ltd.
The new additions to the plant have the latest generator technology available and subsequently cut considerably quicker with a better final surface finish. With the larger working areas we will be able to mount an increased quantity of work pieces at any one time and the automation now available to us reduces the man hours required for machining processes.
