After a deserved run of award success and recognition this year, Caribbean Blinds has just scaled new heights with its latest win, taking home The Manufacturing Excellence Award at the 2022 Scale Up Awards.
The UK’s leading manufacturer of outdoor shading systems faced stiff competition and an eminent panel of judges, carefully selected for their expertise and professionalism, but managed to put their competition in the shade to take home this big win, proving they really are the best at what they do.
The Scale-Up Awards, organised by Business Leader, are the first and only awards to focus on the scale-up sector, celebrating high-growth companies and the entrepreneurs that run them.
Held at London’s acclaimed Tobacco Dock, the prestigious ceremony attracted more than 450 business leaders, entrepreneurs and VIPs from across the nation. Hosted by comedian Russell Kane, Caribbean Blinds received their award in front of notable attendees including Theo Paphitis, Josh Robson and Emma Sayle.
Stuart Dantzic, Managing Director at Caribbean Blinds commented: “We went all out and bought a table for the awards evening and took the team with us, so to receive such an accolade for what we all work so hard to achieve was an absolute honour and a cause of great celebration!
We have always been proud to make the highest quality products at Caribbean Blinds and are the only company in the UK dedicated purely to external shading. This year we have invested in a 10,000 sq/ft extension to our factory to ensure we can keep up with demand by being able to hold more raw materials, but drive down lead times. This follows a £100,000 investment in 2021 in new IT and manufacturing software, specifically built for Caribbean Blinds.
We strive to be the best and receiving The Manufacturing Excellence Award in a room full of some of the best businesses in the UK was a huge sign that we are achieving this.”
Caribbean Blinds has experienced a wealth of success so far this year, boasting a number of accomplishments regarding both business and industry awards. Most recently, Caribbean Blinds has been shortlisted in two categories at the Build It Awards – ‘Innovation in Insulation’ and ‘Best Sustainable Technology or Product’ as well as being shortlisted at the Growing Business Awards for ‘Consumer Business of the Year’ and ‘Family-Owned Business of the Year’ – fingers crossed!
Stuart was selected for the prestigious Suffolk 100 list for 2022, while Caribbean Blinds won the Family Business of the Year award at the East of England FSB Awards 2022.
