The Natural Fibre Company has recently launched a new 'farm to garment' sampling service showcasing its inhouse capabilities with some Ready-Made Accessories added to its new online shop. The Genderless/Unisex One Size Hats and Fingerless Mitts were designed and made inhouse using sustainable materials and processes.
The Guanaco wool is from Penryn, Cornwall and the Blue-Faced Leicester from Honiton, Devon. The unique blend of Guanaco (with guard hairs/without being de-haired) and BFL yarn was created originally as a research and development project and is now being reused/repurposed as a limited edition yarn. The pure wool accessories were knitted on a hand-powered, knitting machine and hand-finished using no electricity, all created with an impressively low carbon footprint. The product tags are made from 100% wood and produced from waste from a local timber manufacturer, sewn on by hand and stamped with a non-toxic and acid-free ink. The swing tags are produced by a local printer and small business.
The accessories are readily available to buy now from the online shop, with a made to order option also available for orders of larger quantities.
