Manufacturing wooden rocking horses from facilities in Fangfoss: The Rocking Horse Shop joins Made in Britain.
Established in 1976, The Rocking Horse Shop design, make and restore wooden rocking horses for customers around the world, including America and Australia. During this time, the company has been involved a range of products, such as manufacturing the world’s smallest and largest rocking horses. The Rocking Horse Shop also worked alongside the Victoria & Albert museum a few years ago, to design a replica of what is believed to be the first ever Rocking Horse, which was built for Charles I.
Rebecca, Director, said: “Being officially marked as ‘Made in Britain’ is a massive thing for us. We have always been immensely proud that nearly everything we sell is made in our own workshops and this is recognition of this achievement. The fact we are a small team of only 10 people, is an even greater achievement for us.”
The Rocking Horse Shop will use the Made in Britain mark on their products. Their horses will be tagged with a Made in Britain tag, and smaller items will have the logo emblazoned on their packaging.
