UK Container Maintenance Limited has been granted membership to Made in Britain

ESTABLISHED in 1998, family-owned UK Container Maintenance Limited  (UKCM) is a container repair and refurbishment company that is dedicated to the refurbishment of all types of waste and recycling containers. UKCM works across the country offering waste companies and local authorities’ mobile repairs, as well as factory-based services at its head office located in Winsford, Cheshire. UK Container Maintenance Limited has now been granted membership to the Made in Britain organisation.

UKCM told Made in Britain that it is immensely proud of its British roots and the services it offers from its 80,000 SQ FT refurbishment and remanufacturing plant in the North West. The company is also proud of its dedicated workforce and the excellent customer service it provides to its customers. A highlight for the company was in 2015 when its chief executive officer, Emma Elston, received an MBE for services to Manufacturing.

UKCM says that across its 22 years of service it has saved local authorities and waste companies over £260 million, with the refurbishment, repair & reuse of a remarkable 1.7 million waste and recycling containers. The company says that its business model of refurbishment over replacement is simple but effective and brings old, and often unwanted, waste containers back to life instead of them going to scrap.

Emma Elston MBE, chief executive officer at UKCM, told Made in Britain, “We are delighted to be part of the Made in Britain community.  We strive to provide solutions for a sustainable future by reacting to the industry needs, promoting the importance of reuse, refurbishment and remanufacturing, while also ensuring that all containers in the public domain are safe and efficient for use.”

UKCM will be using the official Made in Britain mark proudly across its communications including its website, social media, email signatures and press releases. Find out more about the company at its members’ profile page here and its website here
