Yorkshire-based noise measurement instrument supplier, Cirrus Research, has taken a considerable step forward in its programme of international expansion, with the opening of an independent legal entity in Germany: Cirrus Research GmbH.
The move, which follows months of preparation and hard work by the teams both in the UK and Germany, seeks to strengthen the organisation’s already-well-established position within the European market and lays the groundwork for an aggressive expansion programme in the wider European geography.
Group Chief Executive, Daren Wallis, said: “The opening of an independent legal entity in Germany puts us in a great position to be able to expand our programme of international operation. It also allows us to continue our sustained growth trend and demonstrates our commitment to the German market and the value we believe it has for us.
“For the last 15-20 years, our dedicated sales team in Germany have continued to perform well above our expectations, securing substantial sales opportunities with several high-profile clients. I see our continued international expansion going from strength to strength. The opening of Cirrus Research GmbH in Germany is a clear indication of the commitment we have to the European market. I am optimistic and ambitious for our future in a post-Brexit world and moving forward through the pandemic.”
The new company, Cirrus Research GmbH, will sit alongside Cirrus Research plc in the UK, Cirrus Research France S.A.S., and Cirrus Research SL in Spain. Along with a global network of distribution partners, the acoustic measurement experts have secured a comprehensive portfolio of sales channels to strengthen and advance its position as one of the world’s leading names in noise measurement.
In 2020, the business celebrated its 50th anniversary with a host of huge successes, both in sales achievements and new product launches. Despite the challenges posed by lockdown restrictions, Cirrus Research launched two new products: an add-on module for its range of Optimus+ sound level meters to provide GPS functionality and a dual-level acoustic calibrator.
