Unity Doors Director, Lawrence Newton support JDFR
For those who know Lawrence and his family, you will know that they recently discovered that in addition to little Oliver suffering from Type 1 Diabetes, his daughter Harriet, has now also been diagnosed. It has been an extremely difficult time for the family and so much to come to terms with.
Driven to try and do something to help, Harriet and Olivers' teacher, Miss. Gilbert, has decided to run the London Marathon (London Marathon Foundation) on the 21st April, to raise vital funds for JDRF UK - which strives to make lives better for everyone living with Type 1 diabetes. Their advice and support has been invaluable to Lawrence and his family.
Here is her fundraising page. If you can show your support, please do! https://lnkd.in/e-MaT99k
Miss. Gilbert, Redmarley Church of England Primary School, thank you so much! You can do it.
Thank you for your kind words about Oliver and Harriet too:
'I am running the London Marathon for two very special children who I currently teach/have taught, who both have type 1 diabetes! They are both superstars and I am so proud to be running the marathon for them both! Please sponsor me and help me reach my target. I also have many family and friends with type 1 diabetes and I want to do this for them all.'
