As Made in Britain sets sail on its second decade, we are raising the ambition and reach of our communications by producing our own, uniquely styled video content. UnPacked is a brand-new short online video series about manufacturing leadership, produced by the Made in Britain media team and available to watch regularly.
The UnPacked series will feature a unique businessperson and shine a light on their approach to being a manufacturing leader - shaping the sustainable future of this extraordinary sector. Each new episode will appear exclusively first within the UnPacked section on the Made in Britain website. View the videos here.
Making anything in the UK has never been easy. Making a profit at the same time, and enjoying it all, seems impossible to those of us on the outside looking in at those turning raw materials into desirable goods, every working day. But Made in Britain manufacturers somehow make it look easy. UnPacked will be sharing the passion people have for their craft and the challenges they have to cope with to keep growing and progressing every year. Viewers of the video series will be delighted by the smiles, the laughter and joy that comes across.
Episode one of UnPacked features Louise Price, Managing Director of Made in Britain manufacturer, Price of Bath. Making much more than tennis and other sports balls, Louise will take viewers on a fascinating, joyous celebration of an industrial business, making a product that everyone understands, but that few would appreciate is being made right here in this country. We may never take the ubiquitous tennis ball for granted ever again. Buying a tennis ball made by Louise and her team should be everyone’s new year resolution.
Throughout January and February Unpacked, the series will feature Made in Britain makers of a range of products from tea towels, storage boxes, and Seedsticks® to household goods, highly affordable, and available to buy today - and made right here in this country by our members.
The UnPacked series is an opportunity for Made in Britain members to speak for themselves, in conversation with Journalist and Presenter, Matthew Stadlen. Members that attended this year’s Impact Awards will recognise Matthew as our Master of Ceremonies and lead our Ask us Anything session, alongside Made in Britain CEO, John Pearce, and Chairman Camilla Hadcock, taking questions from our 150+ guests.
The official Made in Britain trademark today represents more than 2,100 British businesses and their leaders. The trademark makes it easier for consumers to discover and choose British-made goods. In 2025 we will find lots of new ways to demonstrate to the British public (and businesses overseas) that manufacturing is key to a successful, prosperous and sustainable future for the whole country.
UnPacked is available to watch exclusively first here and via social media channels throughout the year.
