UTS Engineering have secured a £5million framework with one of the UK’s largest Water Companies for the next five years. The project covers a variety of products and services, notably bespoke manufacture of pipework and fittings, and 24 hours emergency service to respond to pipe bursts and other major incidents.
It builds upon UTS Engineering’s already market-leading emergency response that has seen water companies provided with assistance over the Christmas period and all of the UK's lockdowns.
Framework Director Paul Douthwaite said “We are extremely proud to win this contract, as the water company recognised the need for a dedicated emergency response function, to ensure customer supply remains constant. Our capabilities in this arena are second to none, as we are able to quickly design, manufacture and install fittings and pipework with minimal notice.
This contract not only helps secure just under 200 existing jobs, but we will also be looking to create another 35 local jobs.”
The contract win goes a long way in supporting UTS with their ambitious 2021 growth plans. Managing Director Shaun Sadler said, “This framework is yet another example of our teams dedication to bring best in class products and service delivery to our customers.
We are focused entirely on agile response, as in our industry time, is of critical importance.
We are looking forward to supporting our clients through the uncertainty of the future, reassuring them that they are relying on the emergency response experts.”
