Building on the already successful Cascade family Whitecroft Lighting presents the new Cascade Flex – a product range of recessed luminaires that unites sustainability with flexibility and upgradability.
The new Cascade Flex has been designed to create a positive impact on people and the planet, and it is UK made, responsibly sourced and 70% less plastic.
The signature centre optic has been rejuvenated taking the form of a completely removable, reusable, replaceable and recyclable cartridge that is made using up to three times less plastic than a traditional flat panel. Putting this into perspective, a regular flat panel contains the equivalent of 102 plastic bottles while Cascade Flex uses the equivalent of only 34 plastic bottles. This means that for a school project using 600 Cascade Flex light fittings, we are able to save the equivalent of 40,750 plastic bottles.
It is a versatile product suitable for most applications with distinctive central optics and range of lumen outputs delivering both visual comfort and efficacy. The product family benefits from outputs ranging from 2300 up to 5100 lumens, pod and diffuser optics in a TP(a) IP44 cartridge, 3000K and 4000K colour temperatures and a choice of 600 x 600mm or 1200x300mm bodies.
Thanks to the removable and upgradable cartridge it has never been easier to upgrade the technology, visual and controls all at the same time. To add wireless lighting controls to an existing Cascade Flex installation simply remove the cartridge and replace it with an Organic Response® enabled cartridge. Save time, money and energy in the future by easily upgrading components such as the LEDs and driver. The cartridge can be removed and all components can be easily accessed and upgraded. To change the visual of the existing Cascade Flex installation simply remove the existing cartridge and replace it with the desired optic and/or colour temperature.
Cascade Flex has been designed from a circular perspective with thought given to not only the materials and manufacturing process but to the products through life utility and continued upgradability in future Whitecroft Vitality cycles.
Whitecroft Vitality is a new circular approach that gives Whitecroft Lighting the ability to keep products at their highest utility through life and then refurbish, re-purpose, re-distribute, re-sell and in the end recover luminaires.
