Product Description

PYRO-CLIP SEALS are manufactured from continuous filament 'E' type glass yarns. 'E' type glass fibres offer the best thermal resistance of the different types available.

Our clip seals are suitable for operation in high temperatures up to 600°C

The core of the seal is knitted from glass yarns which have been mechanically bulked to increase their loft. The bulking process creates a seal which is lightweight yet very efficient as an insulator.

The Seals incorporate special stainless steel diamond shaped wire-form clips which are braided into the product at pre-determined spacing’s according to the customer's drawing.  The glass fibre braid on the outside of the seal holds the special clips in place but also, because the braid is a fine construction it enhances the overall sealing characteristics of the finished product.

These Clip Seals have been specifically designed for use in applications where the clips will fit into holes in the firebox / oven door frame. This fastening method facilitates easy and fast assembly but, in addition, it also makes replacing or removing the seal during maintenance/ servicing very easy without the need for adhesives of any kind.

PYRO-CLIP SEALS possess excellent handling and flexibility characteristics and are ideal for use in dry, static sealing applications involving hot air and combustion gases.

This design of clip fastening is often employed in Pyrolytic ovens and has been adopted on other specialist cookers and fires. The clip seals are particularly suited for use in balanced flue appliances where the seal needs to fit neatly around the entire perimeter of the firebox.

All of our clip seals are supplied as a finished item made into an endless loop and incorporating clips spaced as per the customer's requirements.
