Cottam’s eel passes, designed in partnership with the Environment Agency, aid migration of endangered eels over man-made obstacles and encourage repopulation.
Available as rigid or flexible boards, our eel passes can be adapted to suit various spatial and environmental conditions. Our rigid boards are manufactured from Polypropylene while our flexible boards are made using SBR (Styrene Butadiene Rubber) for full malleability. Cottam boards are filled with tufts of polyester, a hardwearing, non-absorbent material which is flexible enough to accommodate migrating eels.
