Hodgson Sealants’ best-selling sealant for façade and glazing applications Silfix® U8 is now available in eight colours – from a light and bright PVC-U white to two fashionable dark anthracite shades. This makes it the perfect choice for a wide variety of sealing and pointing tasks in glazing and curtain walling projects.

Silfix® U8 is a low modulus silicone sealant with excellent adhesion to a wide variety of building envelope substrates. Easy to apply and with good tooling properties even in lower temperatures, Silfix U8 is specially formulated and packaged for professional tradesmen including a special large nozzle for external construction joints. 

So that it will match almost any substrate, Silfix U8® is now available in PVCU White, Brown, Black, Brick Red, Buff, Grey, Anthracite RAL 7012, and Dark Anthracite RAL 7016

Hodgson’s Silfix® U8 is widely used in the glazing industry for perimeter pointing of door and window frames and bonding and sealing of uPVC trims and components. But it is useful for so much more such as sealing curtain walling and pre-formed panels, glass to glass sealing, joints in roofing, cladding, insulation and guttering: in fact any construction joints where movement can occur. Silfix U8 is so versatile that it will bond metals including lead, copper and bronze and even seal between dissimilar materials such as uPVC, aluminium, composite and timber window and door frames into masonry, brick and plaster walls.

It is CE marked and supplied in 380ml sealant gun cartridges from the Hodgson website.
