Shalom Lloyd, Naturally Tiwa

“Manufacturing in the UK has been the backbone of my business. I wouldn't manufacture my products anywhere else. It was born and bred in Milton Keynes.”
Shalom Lloyd MBE, Founder & Managing Director, Naturally Tiwa

Shalom Lloyd MBE, pharmacist and founder of Naturally Tiwa, is transforming lives with her natural skincare line. Born out of personal need after her son developed severe eczema, Lloyd’s journey began in her kitchen. Her breakthrough product, Yara - named after the Hausa word for “children” - is a tribute to her roots and a game-changer for sensitive skin, especially for those undergoing cancer treatment.

Founded in 2016 and launching its first product in 2018, Naturally Tiwa blends science with tradition, sourcing ingredients from Africa and manufacturing proudly in the UK.

“Made in Britain spells quality,” says Lloyd, a champion for ethical business, community empowerment, and inclusive employment. Orders are fulfilled by MK SNAP, supporting adults with learning disabilities, adding layers of impact to every purchase.

Leadership, purpose, and resilience define Lloyd’s path. A scientist by training, she never imagined becoming an entrepreneur but now leads with heart and hustle. “Purpose, impact, profit - that’s in our DNA,” she says.

With award-winning products featured in Vogue and a growing international presence, Lloyd’s dream is clear: to make Naturally Tiwa the go-to brand for skin conditions worldwide. Membership in Made in Britain has helped amplify her voice, connect with other manufacturers, and affirm her belief in local production.

Small but mighty, Naturally Tiwa is more than skincare - it’s a movement of empowerment, innovation, and healing.
