Sunswap is the leading British manufacturer of battery and solar-powered transport refrigeration, engineering zero-emission solutions that power cold chains across the UK and Europe. From our manufacturing facility in Leatherhead, Surrey, we produce Endurance.

Transport refrigeration, critical for the transport of food and medicine, has relied on outdated diesel technology for decades - technology that pollutes urban air, requires frequent maintenance intervals, and creates unnecessary operational complexity for fleet managers. Sunswap built Endurance electric from the ground up to solve these fundamental problems. Our purpose-built approach delivers outstanding performance, maximum utilisation, and reduced operating costs.

Endurance combines modular battery technology with roof-mounted solar panels, creating true energy independence for fleet operators. Following growing demand from major European retailers and logistics companies, Sunswap expanded its UK manufacturing capabilities in 2025 with a new facility at our Leatherhead headquarters. This investment creates 75 manufacturing jobs in Surrey and establishes complete oversight of production quality alongside our engineering teams.

Sunswap units are operational across major UK and European fleets, including Tesco, DFDS, TIP Group, Samworth Brothers, and Bannister Transport. Our technology has proven itself through extensive real-world operations, delivering the performance fleet managers expect whilst meeting sustainability targets.
