Airmax Remote and e-Track proudly announce their strategic partnership aimed at providing cutting-edge solutions for fleet management and intelligent key management. By introducing systems integrating telematics data and intelligent key locker technology, the collaboration aims to assist organisations in optimising vehicle allocation, preventing unauthorised usage and enhancing operational efficiency.
e-Track, a leader in electronic key management systems, specialises in designing, developing and manufacturing solutions for the secure storage and management of physical keys. Through this partnership, e-Track’s expertise in key management will be combined with Airmax Remote’s advanced telematics vehicle health capabilities, including Odometer, Battery Condition, Fault Codes, and Condition-Based Servicing Data.
Adam Smith, e-Track Managing Director says, “The partnership with Airmax Remote creates significant opportunity for operators to modernise and improve vehicle distribution, highway compliance and fleet utilisation.”
The joint solution features a driver booking functionality powered by machine learning, which dynamically suggests and allocates the most suitable and roadworthy vehicle for each task or shift. By incorporating customer planned service schedules, it also offers real-time insights into fleet availability.
The initial phase of the partnership, to be rolled out during the second half of 2024, involving the deployment of intelligent key lockers to 65 sites, supports 7,000 drivers and means that 1,600 vehicles will be installed with telematics.
According to Richard Perham, Managing Director of Airmax Remote, “Taking back control of fleet management will reduce scenarios where drivers prefer specific vehicles. Ultimately, this will deliver a more balanced approach to fleet utilisation and maintenance.”
The Airmax Driver ID technology also adds an extra layer of security by authorising key retrieval using NFC/RFID, whereby driver permit details will be taken into consideration. This ensures that vehicle keys are released and recorded for audit purposes, complemented by Driver ID records for each trip.
In addition, the integration of a vehicle booking app and daily vehicle inspections for mechanical defects creates a comprehensive fleet management tool, streamlining vehicle service event management and digitising logbooks. Authorised users will be notified where a vehicle has been driven without a vehicle check and they can control access remotely to restrict access to specific keys where a vehicle is due for maintenance, providing reassurance that unserviced vehicles are not in operation.
The partnership between Airmax Remote and e-Track represents a significant step forward in fleet management innovation, offering organisations the tools they need to optimise operations, enhance security and drive efficiency. A showcase of the integration can be seen at this year’s 50th anniversary of the NAPFM event to be held at The International Centre, Telford on 2nd and 3rd July 2024.
