The folk of Shropshire are waking up to a new bridge on the horizon this morning following the successful installation of our bespoke Active Travel Bridge, safely installed over the A5 at Mile End Junction, Oswestry overnight. The 50m x 3.5m Bridge was manufactured at our Beaver Bridges Ltd manufacturing facility and delivered to site and installed using our fully in-house teams.
We used a 1000te crane to lift the 68 tonne bridge into place, one of the largest cranes in the country, onto newly constructed concrete foundations, delivered as part of Beaver Bridges Ltd unique full turnkey bridging services.
We are extremely proud to have delivered this bridge within our home county of Shropshire on the Mile End trilogy marking the second key development to the area following the junction improvements. It has been great working in collaboration with our client Shropshire Council & WSP in the UK.
The on-site activities will continue with the installation of around 200 metres of ramps, drainage and landscaping, which will see the completion of the works by spring 2024.
And to top it off, last nights full moon was officially called a 'Beaver Moon'.
'Those who say in cannot be done, should not interrupt those doing it'
