British Band Instrument Company (BBICO) has been granted membership to the Made in Britain organisation.

WHEN BBICO founder Alun Hughes formed the company 10 years ago the original focus was on supplying military and marching bands in the Middle East and Africa. This focus has now expanded to include a varied portfolio of services, with BBICO providing options for musical instrument supply and the distribution of quality musical instrument products worldwide.

Reducing the environmental impact of musical instrument accessory products is fundamental to BBICO and the launch of Edgware, its range of natural, non-toxic musical instrument maintenance products in January 2020, demonstrates its commitment to producing biodegradable, compostable and recyclable packaging which is manufactured and packaged in Britain.

BBICO says it is delighted to have been accredited by the Made in Britain organisation. Alun Hughes, managing director of BBICO told Made in Britain, “We are delighted to have been accredited by the Made in Britain organisation. It proves that our products are of high quality, represent value for money, and are safe for anyone that uses them.

“This achievement is important to all our team members. It has been a goal since our inception. Our certificate is already proudly displayed in the office! We are delighted to be joining a group of iconic British manufacturers and we’re looking forward to collaborating with other members with shared ambitions within the Made in Britain organisation.”

BBICO will be using will be using the official Made in Britain mark on product packaging as well as on all its documentation relating to the Edgware BY BBICO brand. The Made in Britain mark has been added to the BBICO website and will be shared across its social media channels on a regular basis.
