At Cottam, we’re incredibly proud of our rich heritage dating back to 1858 and the loyalty of our team. This month we’re excited to celebrate Eddie Moon, who’s marking an amazing 45 years with us! Eddie’s journey started back in 1979, when we were still known as Cottam Bros. His story is a perfect reflection of what we stand for: One Team, Listen and Learn, and Do the Right Thing.
Eddie started out as a general labourer on the assembly line, getting hands-on with tasks like resin setting, trimming, and assembly. His dedication and passion for the craft quickly became clear, and over the years, he’s built up an incredible wealth of knowledge. Now a Process Engineer on our sales team, Eddie still taps into his brush-making roots, helping customers with custom design enquiries and even stepping back into the workshop to make brushes by hand when needed.
Eddie’s 45 years with us isn’t just a personal achievement, it’s a testament to the strong culture we’ve created at Cottam. His story is just one of many that show why so many of our team members choose to stay with us for the long haul. It really highlights how much we value working together, learning from each other, and always doing the right thing.
At Cottam, we believe that learning never stops, no matter how long you’ve been with us. Eddie’s most recent training in brush welding is a great example of how we’re always encouraging growth and development. His journey shows that even after decades, there’s always something new to learn.
