Electronic Temperature Instruments Ltd (ETI) a manufacturer and supplier of digital thermometers and probes, has added a fourth premises in response to a rapidly increasing demand for its products. The new factory, in Worthing, West. Sussex will support the company’s production capabilities and enable ETI to bolster its manufacturing capacity and streamline its operations.
This heightened demand, which has seen the company reach levels not seen since the height of the pandemic when consumers were home-cooking, is partly down to its solid performance with ThermoWorks, ETI’s US-based partner.
ETI’s Thermapen One thermometer is widely used among commercial kitchens and caterers, and Michelin-starred chefs remain amongst its top buyers. The product has been featured on television programmes such as MasterChef and Great British Menu.
The company also makes industrial thermometers for some of the harshest working environments, and wireless data loggers which can monitor and record temperatures in storage and transport facilities and relay it in real-time. It employs 210 people and now has four sites in Worthing, West Sussex working across numerous sectors including food & drink, industry, hydroponics, hotels & hospitality, and pharmaceuticals.
