PLAYQUEST Adventure Play Ltd has joined Made in Britain’s Green Growth Programme. Steve Reeves, managing director of PlayQuest Adventure Play Ltd shares his Green Growth experience.
What did the Green Growth assessment tell you about your business?
As a company, we have been constructing playgrounds out of recycled plastic for over 20 years. We also construct our playgrounds out of timber from sustainable sources. However, the Green Growth assessment highlighted that it’s not just the products we make that have an impact, it’s our business as a whole. It did reassure me that we are doing well though.
However, there is always more that can be done. We are keen to move forward in as green a way as possible.
Has the Green Growth assessment changed the way you work?
Not really. It’s highlighted some small things that we can implement. But mainly carry on working the way we are.
How easy was it to gather the data? How long did it take you to fill it in?
I would say around 10-15 mins. So, well worth doing for the information and reassurance you get out of it.
Did the Green Growth assessment tell you anything you didn't know?
As I’ve said, there are lots of things that I wasn’t aware of. Most of these are small things that should be easy to put into practice.
What has been the biggest benefit, having completed the Green Growth assessment?
It’s early days yet. One thing I have felt is peace of mind. It’s good to know that we are doing our bit for the planet.
