His Majesty’s Trade Commissioner for Asia and the Pacific, Natalie Black, dialled-in from the UK High Commission in Singapore to speak exclusively with Made in Britain members on Thursday 25th May 2023.
Made in Britain was delighted to welcome Natalie and DBT colleagues to speak with Made in Britain, particularly in the wake of the news the UK has struck its biggest trade deal since Brexit, joining the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP).
Natalie talked about opportunities for UK companies in the Asia and Pacific region, and how the Department for Business and Trade (DBT) team can support Made in Britain members.
DBT colleague Hope Hadfield then spoke about the UK joining the CPTPP, picking up on themes such as the benefits for UK SMEs, when they are likely to be realised and the next steps for companies wanting to engage further.
Made in Britain members then had the chance to put their questions directly to Natalie and Hope.
Members can now replay the webinar here (Made in Britain member account login required).
The session occurred as part of Made in Britain’s ongoing International Trade Programme. It was facilitated by George Middleton, Principal Consultant at MAP and Advisor to Made in Britain on government and international trade.
