Complementing the upcoming 13 June CompeteFor webinar session for Made in Britain, members are invited to join HS2’s Meet the Contractor events in July, where businesses from across the UK can hear directly about contract opportunities with the HS2 Project.
HS2 has told Made in Britain it is searching for more UK companies to support the manufacture and fit out of its new stations and fleet of high-speed trains.
Meet the Contractor events enable potential subcontract suppliers to meet with HS2 contractors directly, promote their business and understand how to access and win work in the supply chain.
Made in Britain has agreed to help promote HS2’s in-person events in Manchester and online spotlight sessions on key topics to help businesses get ready to bid for work on the HS2 project.
To find out more about HS2 Meet the Contractor events in July and register, please visit the HS2 website.
HS2 utilises the CompeteFor programme for innovative supply chain development services. Other organisations using the site to procure supplies include Sizewell C; UK Parliament; Heathrow; Network Rail; Skanska Costain Strabag; and, Mace Dragados.
Over 20,000 business opportunities have been made available via CompeteFor, with 75% of CompeteFor awarded contracts going to SMEs.
CompeteFor will speak exclusively with Made in Britain members on 13 June, and across the organisations it supports. Register for the 13 June CompeteFor session.
Made in Britain's engagement with HS2 and CompeteFor is facilitated by George Middleton, Principal Consultant at MAP and Advisor to Made in Britain on government and international trade.
