Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

How do I submit my entry into the awards?

Entries can only be accepted via the official Made in Britain Impact Awards entry forms. There are separate forms for each category, so please ensure you use the correct one, and please also ensure you read the entry criteria above before submitting your entry or entries.

How many categories can I enter?

You can enter as many categories as you wish, as long as you meet the eligibility requirements for the category.

How much does it cost to enter the awards?

The awards are free to enter and are available exclusively to Made in Britain members only.

When is the deadline for entries?
All submissions must be received by noon on Thursday, 11th September 2025.

Will my submission be confidential?

Yes – all awards submissions will be treated as highly confidential. Only the Made in Britain Impact Awards team and the judging panel will view them.

What happens after I submit my entry/entries?
Our commitment to you, we will:

  • Review all submissions against the set criteria (if you’ve missed anything important, we’ll contact you to clarify);
  • Send your submission to the judging panel;
  • Let you know if you’ve been shortlisted;
  • Announce the shortlists on the Made in Britain website and social media channels;
  • Announce the winners

How will winners be decided?

Each of the judges will rank the entries in order of preference. The winner will be the entry with the most first places. If these are tied then second places, third places, etc., will be considered. In the event of a draw, the head judge will have the final casting vote on the ultimate winner. If there is only one entry for a category, judges will be asked to recommend whether any award should be made.

Can I enter again if I participated in previous years?
Of course! We welcome repeat entrants. The only exclusion is for individuals who won an individual category in previous years.

If I entered last year, can I enter again with the same product or service?
Previous category winners cannot enter with the same product or service. However, all other entrants, including those who were shortlisted, can enter the same product or service again, provided the supporting data shows results from this year.

I have a product that is not fully manufactured in the UK, can I still enter?
The product must be a product that meets the Made in Britain guidelines for the use of the Trademark.

Our product is not innovative, but what we do with it is. Can I enter the innovation category?
Yes, of course you can. We can't wait to hear more about it.

Can I supply pictures or video to support my application?
If you feel pictures or video would be helpful to support your application, please note this on the entry form, and if needed, the judge will request these from you.

Our product has not launched yet, are we able to enter it and have a confidentiality agreement?
All entries will remain confidential until the closing date.  After the closing date (11th September 2025) the entries will be submitted to external, independent judges.  Your entry will be deemed to be in the public domain after this point.

If you have any other questions, please contact the membership team on membership@madeinbritain.org.
