For the first time, Made in Britain will attend all three major party Autumn conferences to raise awareness of the importance of the mark, our organisation and our members.
Our organisation brings together more than 2,000 British manufacturers by their licensed use of the registered collective mark – the official mark for British manufacturing.
The Made in Britain mark is recognised by 50% of British consumers and 66% of businesses, according to research conducted by OnePoll in early 2023.
“Attending the conferences is a fantastic opportunity for Made in Britain to further raise awareness of the mark and the organisation with policymakers across the political spectrum. Manufacturing is vital to the UK economy and British jobs – therefore it is important to all parties,” explained Non-executive board chairman Professor Chris Harrop OBE.
“I’m really looking forward to highlighting the importance of the Made in Britain mark at the Autumn party conferences. Introduced just eight years ago, today it is the official mark of British manufacturing, already recognised by two-thirds of UK businesses and half of consumers,” added CEO John Pearce.
“The bigger the mark becomes, the better it will be for the British manufacturers that use it – and for the growth of the UK manufacturing sector as a whole.”
