Made in Britain connects members to discuss exporting to Australia

On 9 July, Made in Britain delivered an online session inviting two Made in Britain members Lockabox and Mar-Key Group to discuss their experience and journeys to successfully exporting to Australia.

The Australian British Chamber of Commerce also participated, with a representative dialling in from Sydney, to offer support, advice and networks for UK companies doing business in and with Australia.

This online session took place one year since UK Free Trade Agreements with Australia and New Zealand came into force.  Also, in response to the interest in exporting to Australia, identified via Made in Britain’s 2023 exports survey.

Made in Britain recognises the value of businesses talking with their peers, and this session facilitated that for UK exporters wanting to hear real, practical examples, direct from the exporters themselves. Whether it's an exporter venturing into Australia for the first time, or one with extensive experience in the market.

Circa 60 companies registered for the session, to listen, discuss and ask questions.

Lockabox was represented by Peter Morris, CEO & Founder. Lockabox is based in Devon and has been a member of Made in Britain since April 2015.

COO Paul Shelley spoke for Mar-Key Group.  The company is based in Bournemouth and has been a member since May 2017.

The session was hosted and facilitated by Advisor to Made in Britain and Director at MAP UK & International, George Middleton.  It took place as part of Made in Britain’s International Trade Programme.
