IF your company needs to get information related to the COVID-19 virus out to staff and customers, or to offer help in the crisis, from today all member-generated stories providing coronavirus information will automatically be added to the Made in Britain news stream and listed here. They will then be promoted via our social media channels to ensure maximum reach.
Stories that do not relate to the outbreak will continue to be authorised to appear on members’ directory profile pages as normal.
John Pearce, CEO of Made in Britain, said, “We have had a few emails from members telling us about the measures they are taking to manage the situation. We also know some members are not able to update their company websites. When we saw the potential for members to use the Made in Britain website as an effective communication tool, the decision to open up the news feed made a lot of sense.
“If members want to offer their services to help others, are looking for ways of letting suppliers and customers know their revised opening hours; or if their contact details have changed we encourage them to use the news service to make their announcements and we will do our best to get their communications out for them. Stories will appear in the Made in Britain news stream and sit alongside their member profile in the directory.”
Instructions on how members can quickly and easily post news to the Made in Britain website can be found here.
