Meet the Impact Awards 2023 judging panel

It’s time to meet our panel of judges for the Made in Britain Impact Awards 2023. The Impact Awards are back for their second year and look to celebrate our members and recognise your achievements, giving you the chance to be recognised within manufacturing and your industry sector. 

The awards will be judged by industry experts, who will choose our shortlist of nominees and winners, as well as announce our winners during the ceremony that will take on 2nd November.

Head Judge 
Chris Harrop OBE
Chairman, Made in Britain
 
Chris Harrop OBE is ESG Strategy Director at Marshalls plc. An accomplished marketing and sustainability professional and Fellow of the IOD and IEMA with a proven global track record, Chris’ persistent contribution has ensured that Marshalls not only leads its sector but is also a world-class sustainable business being recently recognised as a European Climate Leader by the FT for the second year running and was awarded ‘Sustainable Plc of the Year’ three times.


Sandy Lindsay MBE
Chair, Tangerine Communications & The Juice Academy 
 
In 2002, she founded Tangerine, which now employs more than 120 consultants, promoting some of the world’s leading brands and fulfilled a 15-year-old promise in 2017 by placing it into Employee Ownership. In 2013, she launched The Juice Academy, a non-profit digital marketing apprenticeship, which has created more than 600 jobs for young people.


James Fudge
Head of Operations, The Manufacturers Technologies Association
 
James has been with the Manufacturing Technologies Association since 2011. The MTA is the UK’s trade association for companies in the manufacturing technology sector. MTA members design, manufacture and supply the advanced machinery, equipment and intellectual property that enable the creation of the products we rely on from day to day and that drive our economy.
 

John Mathers
Chair, British Design Fund
 
John has been working for over forty years in the brand and design industry, leading a number of marketing, brand and design consultancies in the UK and Internationally including WPP’s flagship Brand Consultancy, the Brand Union. In 2017 he co-founded The British Design Fund, a venture capital fund supporting well-designed, purpose-led British product start-ups.
 

Robert White
Founder & CEO, White Motorcycle Concepts
 
Robert is CEO and founder of White Motorcycle Concepts, a business founded on the principle of reducing the CO2 produced throughout the motorcycle industry, by developing market disruptive technologies that significantly enhance efficiency.
 

Edward Askew FCIPS (chartered), CMILTI
Head of Procurement Policy, Governance & Development, Leidos
 
Edward is a procurement and supply chain specialist with over 20 years of experience gained at a senior level across a variety of sectors, including retail inventory management, retail supply chain, and public sector procurement both in the NHS and working with the UK Ministry of Defence at Leidos.


 

Elise Hockley
COO Investor Relations, Earth Capital Ltd
 
Elise is COO, Head of Investor Relations and Director at Earth Capital Ltd, a UK-based investment manager focused on clean technology solutions within the energy, food and water sectors. She has over a decade of experience in the finance sector. Prior to Earth Capital, she held operational and investor relations roles at KKR and Edge VC.
 

Mary Keane-Dawson
Non-Exec Director
 
Mary Keane-Dawson is a digital expert, entrepreneur and business mentor. She has significant experience in managing global businesses and large-scale teams across many territories. Mary has managed big-ticket clients from American Express, Ford and Nestlé growing these brands for companies such as Ogilvy & Mather and WPP. She has a heritage of experience in building companies and has participated in three sizeable company sales for Spafax, Globalcast Media Network and Steak. 
 

Minnie Moll
Chief Executive, Design Council 
 
Minnie Moll is the Chief Executive of the Design Council. Since joining in 2021, she has led the organisation’s new mission: Design for Planet, which aims to support and galvanise the 1.79 million people in the UK design sector to put the planet at the heart of their work. She is a great believer that businesses should do well and do good.
 

Dr. Cristiana Pace
Founder and Chief Executive, Enovation Consulting Limited
 
From being the first woman to work trackside for the FIA technical department in Formula 1, to contributing to the FIA’s safety legacy and working with WAE to advance motorsport technology far beyond the racetrack, Dr Cristiana Pace’s career as an innovator and leader in motorsport is extensive. In 2018, she founded Enovation Consulting to deliver data-driven sustainability strategies and partnership activations for global sports clients.
 

Jon Moss
Customer Engagement Director, Fortnum & Mason
 
With over 10 years of experience in commercial, lifecycle management, segmentation and customer retention at brands such as Sky and News UK, Jon Moss started as Customer Engagement Director at Fortnum & Mason in 2022. As a keen advocate of test and learn, he is focused on improving customer experience across all of Fortnum’s channels, connecting data and insights to facilitate targeting and personalisation, as well as identifying trends and behaviours to support business growth.


Katie Smith-Merritt MCIPS
Supplier Development Manager , NHS Supply Chain

Katie recently started working for the NHS Supply Chain in the Supplier Development workstream, with a focus on UK Manufacturing. Katie has over 25 years of supply chain experience in private industry, sectors including FMCG, healthcare and chemical manufacturing. She’s worked for large corporations (Smith & Nephew, Diversey and Ecolab) based in the UK & Western Europe, but also saw in her early career the big push for offshoring and the challenges of establishing a start-up.


Sheron Ravi
Founder and Creative Director, Wellness Interiors

Sheron Ravi is the Founder and Creative Director of Wellness Interiors, a Kent based Interior Design Studio.  Wellness Interiors deliver interior design for elegant, contemporary English living. Our philosophy is to delight discerning clients with an unwavering commitment to intelligent design, promoting healthy homes for a healthy planet.  Our aesthetic is inspired by the English countryside, and we are passionate about creating interiors that are warm, elegant and immaculately tailored.  She brings a wealth of experience to her business, having worked with several high-end interior design studios in London.
