Bissu Cosmeticos are an innovative and ethical Mexican cosmetics brand who create products designed for Mexican consumers. In addition to their own brand they also manufacture cosmetics for some of the most prestigious beauty houses in the world and operate 24/7 to keep up with demand.
Bissu recently expanded to new premises with larger production and warehousing facilities but they weren’t satisfied with the quality of the floor. Furthermore, the building is leased, so they are required to return it to the landlord in its original condition when they leave.
As they don’t own the building, any money they spend improving the floor would have been wasted as they wouldn’t be able to take it with them, and worse, they may have to spend more money removing the floor they installed.
Ecotile interlocking floor tiles are used in a wide range of industries but we had never worked with a cosmetics manufacturer until we were approached by Bissu Cosmeticos in Mexico.
Our tile’s unique loose lay system meant that Bissu could install the floor without glue or any harsh chemicals. Their new floor is durable, smart and best of all, can be lifted and taken with them when they leave.
Ecotile can be installed quickly over any hard surface without disruption and requires minimal maintenance. Simply tap the tiles together to create a safe and functional floor.

We selected the 10mm thick tiles which cope with the imperfections in the substrate and are tough enough to endure the constant forklift traffic in our warehouse. Finally, it was possible to lay the floor very quickly – our own staff did it with the help and supervision of someone from Ecotile Flooring – so we were able to move in to the new building very quickly and get production up and running as soon as possible. Ecotile comes with a 10-year product warranty as standard.
Manufactured using the highest-grade material, once the tiles have reached the end of their useful life, we will collect the tiles – free of charge – and recycle them to produce the next generation of Ecotile.
